" Where do I even start… I don’t have an agent or manager or publicist… I probably can’t do it on my own."

"I don’t have a big following on social media or Spotify… no one would even be interested in licensing music from me."

"It’s too hard to get the attention of music supervisors… they get so many emails and would never listen to my music."

“We've been where you are, and know what it takes to make it in the music industry.”

Hi, we’re so glad you found this page! Catch The Moon Music was founded on the idea that independent singer/songwriters could make a positive impact on the world with their voices while being paid well to do it.

For countless artists and producers, the idea of how to license their music to TV, film, and ads, it seems like a mystery or just based on luck.

It is a mystery no longer. We are here to help you completely understand the process, the huge opportunity music licensing presents for your music, and how to freaking rise to the occasion!

CTM’s founder Cathy Heller learned what it took to succeed in music licensing and made multiple 6 figures through placing her own music in ads, TV and film. Since then, so many doors have opened for her because of that success, including building the wildly successful podcast Don’t Keep Your Day Job. And one of those amazing achievements has been 6 Figure Songwriting.

The 6 Figure Songwriting Program is an invitation to learn a proven process, a success formula for licensing your music, that has been refined over 15 years and yields countless music placements from its graduates from widely known brands, shows, and films.

For so many of us, the roadmap for music licensing success became clear through this program.

What better way to use your musical talents and passion than to serve the world by helping tell stories in TV, movies and commercials?

What if you could find your most rewarding way forward in the music industry… doing it on your terms and not give up on your dreams?

6 Figure Songwriting is THE program, custom-made to give you exactly what you need to change your career. We give you both the comprehensive information AND the support to help you thrive and earn a living in today’s ever-evolving music industry.

We are both successful songwriters and licensing artists who came up through this 6 Figure Songwriting program. We’ve had the pleasure of teaching and personally seeing so many independent artists just like you, who have had their career trajectory completely shoot through the roof through music licensing. Now, it's YOUR turn.

“This program has been life-changing. I've never been more focused and clear on my goals. Through the mentorship program, I have now developed a system of resources (producers, composers) that allows me to crank out new material at industry standard. CTM allows me to be surrounded by example after example of success and remain patient for placements while I continue to build my catalog of music and database of contacts. I move calculated and execute effortlessly.

I remember the first time I heard Cathy share her story on a webinar... I was sitting at work fighting back tears because I could relate to her story/struggles and how she overcame them on her own. Now I'm more empowered than ever to take the sync world by storm... I am forever grateful.

“Since this program, I have had music placed on The Young and The Restless on CBS, Blood Money on History Channel, Vegas Rat Rods on Discovery Channel, Wives with Knives Discovery ID, NOVA Wonders on PBS, ATL Homicides on TV One, and Aerial America on The Smithsonian Channel, among others.

They have been working hard to pitch my music... and I am forever grateful for the dedication to my career. But not only are they reaching out for me, they have also taught me how to reach out and make connections myself to music supervisors and other licensing agencies.

I want to say "thank you" to everyone at Catch The Moon Music for giving a me chance, believing in my music enough to sign my songs and for putting those songs in front of people who make the decisions that can change my life.

If you are on the fence about joining with Catch The Moon Music, let me gently nudge you over or knock you to the ground or whatever it takes to get you on the right side of the fence. It is worth it, I promise!”

FAQs

You've got questions? We've got answers.

When does the program start and finish?

The 12 week 6 FIGURE SONGWRITING program begins on March, 29th and ends the week of June 14th.

I am just starting out, and my music library isn't ready to be pitched yet. Should I wait to take this course?

No! We give you 12 weeks to explore your creativity and apply it to something tangible that you can pitch! You’ll have opportunities to meet Music Supervisors and other decision makers but you don’t have to pitch songs if you don’t want to. The 12 week program is, more than anything, really time to focus on learning what works and what doesn’t, on honing your craft. It's so important to work on your songwriting with feedback of experts like us because otherwise people practice doing things that aren’t quite right. Originally the whole reason we created this program was just to teach people how to write better songs that work for licensing, then we added the rest of the curriculum to the program later. So this is the perfect place to start out from!

How long do I have access to the course?

You will have access to all course content for life!

I work full-time, have family commitments, and other demands on my time. How much time do I need to be successful in this course?

We created this course with busy schedules in mind. You'll be able to spend a few hours a week in the course, and even take breaks if you need to.

What if I can't make the live calls because of work or other commitments?

From the feedback we’ve gotten from students, this hasn’t been an issue. If you can’t attend live, that’s okay too. All of our sessions are all recorded and made available for replay within 24-48 hours afterwards. We always post the replays for you to watch on your own time, provide opportunity for you to post questions beforehand for weekly Office Hours, and honestly the private Facebook group is a 24/7 thing… you’ll see there’s tons of support available around the clock during the 6 Figure Songwriting 12 week program.

Do you offer refunds?

We offer conditional refunds within the first 14 days. You will need to contact us at hello@catchthemoonmusic.com within the first 14 days and show us that you have completed all of the assignments until that point. If you have completed all of the assignments, put in the time, gave it your best try, and are still not happy, we will send you a full refund.

Is this a membership or subscription program?

This is not a membership or subscription. It’s a 12 week mentorship program with 3 payment options. Monthly payments are installments towards fully paying for the program you are taking, so they can’t be canceled like a membership or subscription. There will be no opportunity to cancel your monthly payments after the first 14 days.

...more questions? We're here for you!

Email our team at hello@catchthemoonmusic.com, and we'll answer any questions you might have.
